My Path to IRIS AI: Embracing Innovation in Cybersecurity

Joining IRIS AI has been one of the most exhilarating decisions of my career. As someone deeply fascinated by emerging technologies, I found myself drawn to the innovative spirit and groundbreaking work happening at IRIS AI. My journey to IRIS AI started in an unexpected place: a day camp that I ran. So, how did I leap from childcare to IT and then to AI? It began with recruitment. While running the day camp, I realized the need for a more intentional hiring strategy, which led me to spearhead a recruitment search for hundreds of seasonal staff. This experience sparked my interest in recruitment, eventually guiding me to a role as a talent acquisition coordinator at BetterCloud. From there, I made my way up the ranks before eventually moving to a sales role. It's been an unconventional path, but one I wouldn't change for the world. My previous role at a much larger company left me yearning for a true start-up experience. Joining my last company with nearly 200 employees, I had some FOMO that I wasn’t there right at the beginning of its journey. Having the chance to join a company that is under a year into its journey, is a rare opportunity I couldn’t pass up.

What excites me most about being part of the IRIS AI team is the opportunity to contribute to a culture of innovation and problem-solving. There's a lot of concern about "AI taking our jobs," but from my perspective, AI is more about enhancing our work lives. Take IRIS, for instance. Previously, individuals might spend countless hours on tedious tasks like filling out questionnaires and RFPs. Now, with our product, they can let the technology handle the mundane aspects, freeing them to focus on more strategic and fulfilling parts of their job. This not only saves time but also boosts productivity in areas that require more attention and that “human touch”.

We're not just creating tools; we're crafting a new paradigm for cybersecurity, one that leverages the power of AI to create more resilient, efficient, and secure environments.
